Q - I ordered new Tsprof k03 hunter kit , the clamps that are in the kit are whole clamps and I would like to get some idea what you can recommend for my edc knifes.
A - The TSPROF Whole milled clamps you received with your specific K03 set are very versatile clamps and should work for most knives. I suggest clamping one of your two clamps on a flat section (normally the ricasso / front of the tang), and the other clamp an inch or two back from the tip of the knife. With this method, the clamp on the flat section will stop any knife rotation (up & down) and the clamp towards the tip will stop any flexing. With this method, you should be able to clamp a huge variety of knives including most of you EDC knives.
If you have really flexible and narrow fillet-type knives, or you want to do some really low angle sharpening then the K03 fillet clamps are a good option.
The K03 spring steel style clamps are designed to adjust to be able to fit the grind of a specific knife (like full flat grinds) by opening up the back of the clamp with the rear grub xxxx . If you use the method described above, then you should likely not need these clamps for most scenarios.
If you prefer using Hapstone clamps on your TSPROF K03, then we have some clamp adapters available for that purpose. Have a look at our our GearConnect range. The GearConnect adapters are also available for other clamps, like our wide range of KakBritva clamps.
