Place your knife in your preferred sharpening position on the Hapstone M3 magnetic platform and align the 3 point knife guide with 2 points on the spine of your knife, ready for sharpening.
Zero your angle cube on the rear section of the Hapstone magnetic mount platform (somewhere on the 3 point knife guide itself). You now have to measure the primary grind angle of your knife to be able to compensate for that. Place your angle cube on the primary grind of your knife (between the edge and spine) to measure the angle of your knife's primary grind. Because the knife bottom face will lie flat on the magnets, you will have to make a note of this primary grind angle you just measured and add HALF of this measured angle to your sharpening angle that will follow.
Now, with your sharpening stone in place in the stone clamps and placed on the knife, place your angle cube on the sharpening stone holder platform and adjust to meet your desired sharpening angle (Making sure to add half of the knife primary grind angle that you previously calculated to know what your actual sharpening angle is.
In other words, if you want to sharpen at 15 degrees per side, and your knife grind is 5 degrees total (use half of this), then your set sharpening angle should be 17.5 degrees to get a sharpening angle of 15 degrees.
Hope this helps!
