Right emulsion level for final stropping
Hapstone R2 Standard Knife Sharpener
I have a Hapstone R2, and I sharpen knives with a progression of Venev Orion diamond stones - typically from FP240-400-800-1200 and now maybe 1500. I want to strop the knives once I finish sharpening on the stones and ideally just want to use one diamond/CBN "grit" level and then strop on bare leather. What should that level be? 4 micron? 2 micron?
Thank you for your help.

A - In your case, 1 micron would be a good choice after your 1200 or 1500 Venev - if you only wanted to use a single grit paste / emulsion.
