Just curious if you know offhand about how much difference in length between the lite clamps and the RS angled clamps? Also do they both allow you to achieve a lower angle than the standard angled clamps?

Not much difference at all, only about 1mm so it's insignificant. Yes, they allow low angles on narrow blades because they are both clamp types with a very thin jaw profile.

Thanks. The nut and bolt on one of my standard angled clamps seized up after sharpening about a dozen knives in the 7 weeks I've had it. I'm considering buying a set of lite clamps and a set of RS angled clamps if my busted clamp isn't warrantied for some reason. They would be around the same price as a new set of standard angled clamps but would give me 4 holding points for long knives and lower angles on narrow blade knives. Is there any reason this is a bad idea?

Not a bad idea at all, the more clamp options the better in my opinion. Some of my favorite clamps are the Hapstone lite clamps. You typically won't need 4 points of clamping but it's nice to have the option. As long as you use one clamp on the flat parallel "tang" part of a blade and the other a little bit back from the tip, then two clamps work perfectly in most cases.
As far as your standard angled clamps are concerned, don't give up on those if it's just a stripped bolt and nut. Ask Gritomatic if they can send you a new bolt and nut, or even just buy another bolt and nut from your local hardware store to fix it right up. The standard angled clamps are awesome all-rounder clamps.

Thanks for the advice. I emailed support asking about replacement bolts and nuts and I'll see what they say. I think I've got a big enough gap between the clamp jaws to hacksaw the bolt in half to get it out. No clue what happened to it. I took a knife out of the clamps to reposition it when I noticed my bevel was going to be wider at the tip. Went to tighten it back down and it felt crunchy and wouldn't screw in enough to secure the knife. Now it's stuck and no amount of torque will budge it more than a quarter turn in either direction. I even tried soaking it in warm water, a heat gun, a micro torch. That bolt is just stuck in that nut for all eternity. The thing is, I've never fully unscrewed it so it can't be cross threaded. Oh well. Crap happens.
