Is the Venev Centaur F100 suitable for reprofiling? Or do I need some more aggressive?
Venev Centaur Series Dual Side Diamond Stone Set [6" x 1"]
The K03 pro hunter is on the way. My fist set of stones will be the Venev, alpha centaur pack. Do I need something like the Atomas to reprofile?

It's definitely worth getting a low grit diamond plate for aggressive re-profiling if you need to do that. The Venev Centaurs are excellent stones and leave an incredible edge but they are not really meant to be aggressive re-profiling stones.

I've read Venev stones are under an import restriction or have a long lead time. I would like a nice 4 to 6 stone set for harder steels. Can anyone suggest a good set of stone diamond or CBN stones, 6 X 1 size. Both Edge Pro Diamond Matrix and Poltava CBN have good reviews. I'm sure there are others too. I already have Chosera stones for softer Japanese steels. Suggestions appreciated.
