Better without grit as a final polishing strop?
Shell Cordovan Leather Strop [6" x 1"]
Would this Shell Cordovan strop be more suitable for use as a stand-alone strop for final polishing than w/ grit? I realize this may be a personal choice but I’m asking as a total newb looking for strops for polishing an edge.

For straight razor stropping and for fairly basic steels, the silica content in cordovan leather would allow some basic polishing but for most modern steels it's better to use a compound.
