This specific Reinforced Vertical Rod + Updated Pivot for the R2 is a limited run by Hapstone as an upgrade to reinforce your vertical rod (this reinforcement should already be done in your new generation R2).
This specific set also includes a quick swappable bearing holder (can be opened with a coin) and a parking hook incorporated into the bearing assembly.
Hapstone does unfortunately sometimes bring out small updates without announcing them officially. That said, even an early generation R2 from a few years ago is as good and accurate of a sharpener as the latest generation. They seem to often update manufacturing suppliers, slight design changes etc.
