The old unit was angled at 90 degrees, also creating a lot of limitations on scissors sharpening.
I recently created some adapters for Gritomatic where you can use your original Hapstone clamps and mount it facing upwards at different angles. This should work well in most cases. The adapters available will be 60, 70, 80 and 90 degrees. Contact Gritomatic directly to see if they have some available for you. Link below:
