For the fastest metal removal, use your electroplated diamond plated stone. The diamonds on a plated stone protrude above the stone surface, making it more aggressive.
Should I go premium cbn 50 grit or start cbn 80 grit for chainging sharpening angle/heavy grinding? Hapstone Premium CBN Stone [6 "X 1"]
I used to sharpen freehand and got into this guided sharpener, and when I tried to sharpen my friend's gyutos, some of them had way larger angles than 15 degrees per side, and it took so much time to change the angle back with 220 resin-bonded diamond stone or Chinese electroplated diamond 80-grit stones. Which would be best fit for me?
