Do the screw holes for the platform standoff cylinder on this base line up with the new RS base?
I just bought the new Hapstone RS and love it but have a few chef knives over 9". It's difficult to clamp the knives so they can be rotated during sharpening without the blade tip contacting the sharpener base. It looks like this base with most of its mass toward the back of the unit wouldn't have the same problem. Are the platform standoff cylinders compatible such that I could put the RS sharpening assembly on this base? Or would some other solution such as longer clamps or the V8 magnetic table work better for this application?
